This week the construction on the artwork ‘Circle of Life’ started in IFabrica. In the coming weeks we will be working in the main hall. Here you can see the firstphase in the process; building the supporting structure. This structure gives us the freedom we need to actually build the ring of light, as all sides are supposed to be light emitting surfaces when the ring is constructed around the bridge.
The supporting structure is made of wood and has wheels, so we have the freedom to move it around when necessary. It is also the structure on which the entire artwork will be moved when it is going to be positioned on the Melkmeisjesbrug.The mounting on the bridge will be done by a boat crane.
