With one of the ring completed with ribs, we started with placing the foamed PVC walls that separate the interior of the artwork into 3 chambers for light. These walls make it possible to have different light on eatch side of the triangle, along the whole circle. The blue is a protective sheet we will remove after placing. The PVC board is used for printing purposes so the blue side is the protected printing surface. We use the blue side to draw the outline of the walls in the ring, and pull it off the leave no markings.

All the inner walls are also drawn in the computer; in fact, the whole circle of life is designed in the computer, with Rhino to be exact. I modelled the shape according the measurements of the materials used and produced a foldout of the resulting shapes. These foldouts were used to cut out the main shape of each interior wall. We tried to make the main shape as close as possible to the original design dimensions, but there are always tolerances to deal with. The interior walls were cutout slightly larger than needed, so we could make up for these tolerances in site.
