Banne Beter
Banne Beter is a community project where o4Rb assessed the reduction of energy consumption in relation to renovation feasibility of existing housing in Amsterdam Noord.
The goals was to create a tool that would empower homeowners to address the durability and sustainability of their home, in relation to normal renovation cycles.
The end product contained details specific to the building type and existing conditions. Various improvements were translated into tables with calculated energy reductions per type and building parts.
All potential improvements and their respective reductions area totaled in a tool that informs the homeowners on their total energy consumption and the potential of their houses for new types of energy.
A publicly available digital guide is made accessible to all existing and new homeowners though the website of the Neighborhood Association. Multiple sessions informed the homeowners in the use of the tool.
The project was funded by the Municipality of Amsterdam.
