After some tuning on the steel we were able to close the circle today. It fits! Now we have the compleet circle, and we can start the assembly of the white triangles that will support the white opaque diffusors.

Attached also a closeup of the steel ring. The steel is finished with hot-dip zinc. It is important to keep this finish covering all steel, as we do not want traces of corrosion dripping out of the artwork when it is on the bridge, exposed to the elements in mid winter Amsterdam. If a part of the zinc finish is damaged, we use a special zincspray to cover it up.
